Select Widget that allows additions to the underlying vocabulary

So that we can have a "theme" menu where the user can add his own themes.

  • Summary changed from Select Widget that allows additions to the underlying vocabulary to Select Widget with vocabulary edition

I think to have a popup that allow to add delete vocabulary and that update the list in edition page (without reloading) like in GIL metadata edition.

how to set permission on vocabulary edition ? as we can not use local roles :(

I guess the best way is to have a new 'Manage CPS vocabularies' permission, and assign it to the users that need it on the vocabulary object itself.

As we cannot directly assign permission to users, we'll need an intermediate role. In the portal_repository I had the same requirement, the name I'd choose for the role is 'permission:Manage_CPS_vocabularies'. This role can be defined at the level of the portal_vocabularies tool (and of course it allows only one permission, 'Manage CPS vocabularies').

Also, if needed, management of the users associated to the vocabularies must be done in a new CPS screen.

Ben, has there been any progress on this?

I'm going to need a better a management of rights on vocabularies, because a customer would like to set to people the right to manage some vocabularies, without having to set them as managers. I can see permissions related to vocabularies in the permissions list, but I cannot see any place where this is used. When this is done, the current vocabulary management screens will be useful, they just need to present a different screen whether the user is allowed to edit/delete given vocabularies.
