  • Owner changed from trac to rspivak
  • Component changed from CPSInstaller to Windows Installer (cpswi)

What is the version of installer: 3.4.0-1 or 3.4.0-2 ? Which windows: Win2000, WinXP, etc ?

  • Severity changed from critical to blocker

He this bug is a killer ! raise the level to showstopper and pull the 3.4.0-2 installer from the website. This is a timebomb for everyone. You don't expect to backup your system before trying out cps, don't you?

Or take a major blow to your credibility

Yes it happened to me (and i wont be the last!)

New version was relased and is available at:  http://www.cps-project.org/static/windows/CPS-3.4.0-3.exe This version solves issue with PATH reset and thus should be used.

Special big thanks goes to Thomas Fettig for his time and efforts in testing windows installer.
