The DateTime Widget should have a user control to reset it

Description

Once its date is set, it's not possible to easily set to None the value of a DateTime Widget.

It would be really useful to cleanly improve validation on the information message window of #2156 :-)

I take it that manually cleaning the string input doesn't do the trick ? That being said, I'd like this new control to be optional: lots of existing layouts don't have spare space to put it.

Replying to gracinet:

No, it does not, at least regarding the hours and minutes fields. And even if that had worked, the user needs to be able the reset in a single action (typically a single "click").

Yes you are right, it should be optional. This optional "reset" control should, for example, not appear for widgets that are configured as "required". Otherwise it would make no sens.

  • Milestone changed from CPS 3.5.0 to CPS 3.5.2

Like all true changes after rc1, it will have to wait a bit.
