Getting rid of boxes in a CPSPortlets setup

Description (last modified by fguillaume) (diff)

There is currently one box that is still needed in sites built with CPSPortlets, i.e. the 'folder_contents' view.

The reason why it is not 100% trivial to get rid of it is that:

  • the boxes shown in the 'folder_contents' view cover several portlets ('Up to parent folder', 'Folder title', 'Folder Contents')
  • they are associated to the 'folder_contents' action and not to 'folder_view'
  • there might be different folder_contents views / portlets based on the type of site. (cf CPSeCommunity vs a standard website)

Suggestions and mockup screens are welcome.

I've started a branch: [28730] and [28729]

This is pretty straightforward, the approach is:

  • remove all references to boxes
  • place portlets where there were boxes (welcome box, navigation widgets, ...)
  • use portlet guard to control portlet visibility (depends on #1077)

  • Status changed from assigned to closed
  • Resolution set to fixed

This is now solved using portlet guards.
